At Northeast Scientific Inc. (NES), we reprocess FDA-cleared medical devices to reduce costs and environmental impact across the healthcare industry. We’re currently seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Reprocessing Technician I to join our team part-time in Waterbury, CT.
This entry-level role offers hands-on training and a chance to work in a regulated, quality-focused manufacturing environment that supports patient safety and sustainability.
What You’ll Do:
- Maintain accurate production records (manual and digital) in accordance with quality standards
- Perform reprocessing techniques as directed by supervisors
- Communicate issues affecting production, quality, or equipment performance
- Meet daily production throughput expectations
- Maintain clean, organized workspaces; conduct cleaning and line clearance procedures
- Follow all safety and quality protocols
- Support other tasks or projects as assigned
What We’re Looking For:
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
- Able to lift up to 40 lbs. and work on your feet or seated for extended periods
- Positive team player, reliable, and detail-focused
- Willing and able to train in one or more functional areas within the facility
- Familiarity with OSHA safety practices is a plus
- Ability to handle small and delicate parts
Compensation & Schedule:
- Work Hours: 24–32 hours per week
- Probationary Period: 90 days to evaluate attendance, performance, and team fit
- Benefits: Not offered for this part-time role
- Paid Sick Leave: 1 hour earned per 30 hours worked (up to 40 hours/year)
- Vacation & Personal Leave: Not offered
